When it is not Shmittah, the organic Pinot Noir vineyard is managed by our friend Yisrael Horowitz. Yisrael did not water all year so the grapes were virtually raisins at the harvest. The wine was kept separate from the Merlot throughout the whole process, and in the end we ended up with 32 bottles. The wine was absolutely delicious! Regarding the ageing process, we opened up our last bottle in 2013 and it was just as we remembered if not better!

Average sugar level in field at time of harvest was 23.9 brix. On the 13^th of Tevet we started bottling and ended up with a whopping 30 bottles!  According to all opinions ,the wine was magnificent with the taste of Shmitta throughout. We may have one or two bottles left for a special occasion.
